Hello, this is Ean. Last week, I finally got to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them during school on a class trip! As promised, I am going to review it today.
The movie is about Newt Scamander, who is one of my favorite Harry Potter characters as of now (I even asked for a Funko Pop of him for Christmas). Newt has a suitcase that contains a collection of Fantastic Beasts. The suitcase is accidentally opened by Jacob Kowalski, who after meeting Newt grabs the wrong suitcase and ends up opening it in his apartment. The suitcase that Newt accidentally grabs when he is taken to MACUSA, or Magic Congress of the United States of America, by Tina Goldstien, an American wizard who works at MACUSA, is Jacob's suitcase filled with something less dangerous; pastries that were used to try and get money for Jacob's bakery he wants to open. Now they must go and find the beasts that have escaped Newt's Suitcase before the wizard world is revealed to the No-Majs, or Muggles for all the Harry Potter fans, or non-magical people for people who have never read or seen Harry Potter.
This movie is Fantastic! Pun somewhat intended. The movie was great! Some of my favorite scenes were with Niffler, one of the beasts who is a mole like creature and he also escapes in the beginning of the movie. Niffler likes to take shiny things like jewelry, money, gold and anything else shiny he can get his paws on. One funny part is when he tries to hide from Newt and Jacob, he holds out his arm and stands on 1 leg like a necklace holder. Unfortunately for him, he is spotted by Newt.
Another Fantastic scene is when Jacob and Newt enter the suitcase. Now I wondered how all those beasts fit into the 1 small suitcase. This scene answered my question. Like another British device used by someone who is British, it's bigger on the inside then on the outside. Inside the suitcase, there are separate areas for a suitable environment for each beast, along with one area where Newt does some studies on the beasts.
One problem with this movie was some parts I didn't understand what they said, maybe it was because of the theater, the music was a bit too loud to hear what they said, or I didn't understand what they said because it was a reference to something else in Harry Potter. Probably the first 2.
Overall, I give this movie 4 ice cream scoops out of 5. It's Fantastic, but I may have not got some parts.
Hi, it's me, Ean. 2017 is coming soon and so are some good movies. Today I will list some of the movies I want to see that will come out next year.
First up is The Lego Batman Movie. The Lego Movie was Awesome (pun intended) and this movie stars the batman from that movie. I've seen the trailers for that movie and I say it's gonna be great! I really want to see this one.
The next movie is Spiderman Homecoming. This movie doesn't have a trailer, but the Spiderman in this movie was in Captain America: Civil War. Spiderman was great in that movie, so I think a whole movie with this Spiderman will be great!
The next movie is Cars 3. I won't spoil the teaser, but it is very shocking. I will just let you know something happens to Lightning Mcqueen, and it may not be that good. The teaser makes me really want to see this movie, and find out what will happen next.
The next movie is Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Like other movies on this list, I've seen the first Guardians of the Galaxy, and liked it. So, since I liked the first one, I wanna see the 2nd one.
And Finally, the last movie I will mention today is Power Rangers. Now, I've never been a huge fan of Power Rangers. However, I'm interested in seeing this movie. Also for you Hunger Games fans out there, Elizabeth Banks plays the main villain in this movie.
Now, I didn't mention all the movies I wanted to see because I didn't want this to be too long. So, I hope I introduced you to some movies you may want to see.
Christmas is coming, so this month's poll will be Christmas themed, so "Poll"ease do the poll, and the results for last month's poll will be posted sometime soon. I will see you next week.
Hi! My name is Ean. I am the new blogger here.
Recently, a book was turned into a movie. No, I am not talking about Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children. I am talking about James Patterson's Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life.
It is about a boy named Rafe Katchadorian who is entering Middle School. You may be thinking that this is pretty much Diary of a Wimpy Kid but, with an different character. This is more than just that! In the book, Rafe and his friend Leo the Silent, who you will see imitating the principal in the trailer, starts Operation R.A.F.E., which stands for Rules Aren't For Everyone. This is a plan to break every single rule in the Hills Village Middle School Code of Conduct.
Like all books made into movies, there are differences from the movie. For example, in the book, Rafe does Operation R.A.F.E. by himself and with Leo, while in the trailer, he works with the other students. I am very excited for this movie and, I also recommended you read the book. Here is the trailer for this movie.
On January 22, Rick Yancey's The 5th Wave will make its film debut. Cassie Sullivan [Chloë Grace Moretz] has survived the first 4 waves of alien attacks. Now own her own, she is in desperate search of her missing brother. Throughout this ordeal she has learned one thing, "Do not trust anyone." However, in order to save her brother she is forced to trust Evan Walker.
If you want to learn more, check out the Prezi or just read the book.
Based off of the Marvel comics character Ant Man this new movie follows Scott Lang as he is trained to be Ant Man by Hank Pym. With a specially designed suit Scott has the power to shrink in size and control ants. Using this new power Ant-Man must prevent Yellowjacket from using the same technology for evil. Checkout some of the avengers comics from our Graphic Novel section to learn more about Ant-Man and Hank Pym.
You can watch the Sesame Street version while you wait for May 1st to come along.
